File transfer protocol (FTP) is a popular way to transfer files between client (your computer) and server computers. FTP uses the TCP/IP network protocol, and allows both downloading and uploading files from/to a server.
Extension Works may ask for FTP access if you are experiencing problems with installing our product or there may be a bug with our code that may need to be edited on your website.
It is easier for our developers to sometimes debug on the customers website, depending on the issue we need to fix.
