If you are considering using multiple origin post codes/ zip codes the is one limitation you need to be aware of.
The shipping services that you enable in the shipping admin area, will need to be offered using the origin post codes/ zip codes - destination post codes/ zip codes combinations you have set up and the shipping provider.
Not ALL shipping services will cover all the origin post codes/ zip codes - destination post codes/ zip codes.
EXAMPLE:
You may have the following services enabled:
Ground, Priority, Express, Overnight.
From 08360 to 90210 - the following services are offered: Ground, Priority, Express, Overnight.
From 30345 to 30345- the following services are offered: Ground and Priority.
From 30033 to 98445- No services are offered.
This will cause no shipping rate to be available at the cart / checkout.
As this is classed as one shipment and a rate is not offered for the last option, From 30033 to 98445, this will create a problem trying to provide a shipping cost.
We suggest turning on debug in the shipping plugin to see if a rate is offered for all origin - destination combinations.
This can be a little tricky to set up, but once you have evaluated all the different combinations there should not be any problems generating shipping costs.
We also suggest using a shipping service that will most likely be used for all shipping requirements.
Might be best to reach out to the shipping company and ask this question.
